The CIMAGE Group of Institutions marked World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and a firm commitment to environmental sustainability. Organized by the institution’s Eco Task Force Club, the celebration featured a campus-wide plantation drive designed to spread awareness about protecting and preserving our planet — a message that sits at the heart of this year’s global theme, “Inspired by Nature: For Climate. For Our Future.”

This year’s observance is led globally by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and hosted by Azerbaijan, with a sharp focus on climate action. CIMAGE’s student-driven celebration brought that global call right to the Cimage campus in Patna.

A Plantation Drive Rooted in Student Leadership

The celebration saw active participation from students, faculty members, and club representatives who came together to promote a greener, healthier future. As part of the initiative, students planted saplings across the campus and personally took responsibility for watering and nurturing them in the weeks ahead.

The activity underlined a simple but powerful idea: individual contributions add up to real environmental change. For students, the plantation drive doubled as a hands-on learning experience — a practical way to understand how collective action helps protect natural resources and build sustainable communities.

Speaking on the occasion, faculty members encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits in everyday life and to grow into responsible citizens who actively contribute to environmental conservation. This emphasis on values beyond the classroom is part of what makes CIMAGE one of the best colleges in Patna for IT and Management, where leadership and social responsibility are nurtured alongside academics.

Badge Distribution Ceremony for the New Eco Task Force Team

A major highlight of the day was the badge distribution ceremony for the newly appointed office bearers and members of the Eco Task Force Club. Dean Academics, Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Poddar, formally presented badges to the newly selected Secretary, Coordinators, and Club Members — recognizing their responsibilities and encouraging them to lead environmental initiatives throughout the academic year.

The event was organized under the guidance of mentors Mr. Anjesh Kumar and Mr. Ranjeet Kumar, who have consistently supported student-led activities focused on sustainability and environmental awareness.

Why Student Clubs Matter at CIMAGE

The World Environment Day celebration reflects CIMAGE’s commitment to holistic education that goes beyond textbooks. Through initiatives like the Eco Task Force Club — one of several active student clubs at CIMAGE — the institution continues to nurture leadership, social responsibility, and environmental consciousness among young learners.

As the plantation drive concluded, students voiced their determination to care for the saplings they planted and to keep supporting green initiatives in the future. The event reinforced a message that resonates far beyond a single day: every small effort counts in building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable world.

“Together, we can make a difference — one tree, one action, and one responsible choice at a time.” 🌱
