Patna | Saturday turned into a historic day at CIMAGE Engineering College, Patliputra, Patna, as Bollywood actor Siddharth Malhotra and actress Tamannaah Bhatia arrived on campus to promote their upcoming film ‘The Vvaan: Force of the Forest’ — their first-ever visit to Bihar. Thousands of students welcomed the stars with thunderous applause and unmatched energy.
Prayers at Saraswati Mandir and Traditional Chhath Kosi Puja
Upon arriving at the campus, both artists first offered prayers at the Sankalp Mandir of Goddess Saraswati located within the institute premises and sought her blessings with a floral tribute. They then performed the traditional Kosi Puja of Chhath Mahaparv. The stars’ deep reverence for Bihar’s folk faith left everyone present emotionally moved.
Welcoming the artists, Director of CIMAGE, Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Agrawal, said — “The moment you bowed before Chhathi Maiya, you won Bihar’s heart. You have added to the pride of Bihar.”
Stars Kneel Down to Watch ‘Chhathi Maiya Sun Li Na Vinti’ Performance
The most touching moment of the event came when CIMAGE students performed the film’s Chhath-based song ‘Chhathi Maiya Sun Li Na Vinti’ along with a traditional Chhath Puja dance on stage. What made the performance truly special was that Siddharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia knelt down on the floor and watched the entire presentation with folded respect. The auditorium erupted in applause at this heartfelt gesture towards Bihar’s culture and faith.
Electrifying Dance Performance on ‘Samjho Na’
The excitement reached its peak when both stars gave a live dance performance on the film’s song ‘Samjho Na’ from the stage. Students cheered and danced along as the entire campus echoed with music and applause. The artists hugged students, clicked selfies, and posed for memorable photographs. Siddharth Malhotra said from the stage — “Coming here feels just like home.”
‘The Vvaan: Force of the Forest’ — A Story Rooted in Bihar
Interacting openly with students, the artists shared that the film’s story is woven around the mysteries of the historic ‘Van Devi Temple’ near Patna and the forests surrounding it. Blending faith, folk tradition, and nature, the storyline beautifully reflects Bihar’s cultural and spiritual heritage. The official trailer of the film was also screened for the students, generating tremendous excitement on campus.
