From Learners to Builders: CIMAGE Students Bring AI to Life on Day 2!
The second day of the Agentic AI Workshop at CIMAGE College, Patna was nothing short of exciting and empowering. Students, brimming with curiosity and creative energy, got a chance to move beyond theory and dive into the practical side of AI — building their very own chatbots and AI calling agents for real-world business use.
After the warm-up of Day 1, where students were introduced to the world of Agentic AI, Day 2 was all about rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. It wasn’t just about learning what AI is, but actually seeing how to create something with it.
Morning Session: Learning from the Pros
The day kicked off with an interactive session led by the workshop trainers Tirth Patel and Devraj Gohil — experienced professionals who brought with them not just technical knowledge but also real industry insights. Students were introduced to two powerful tools: n8n and ngrok.
For many, these names were new, but the trainers made sure to break things down in a simple and engaging way.
n8n (pronounced “n-eight-n”) is a workflow automation tool that allows you to connect different apps and services with ease — no heavy coding required. It’s like setting up digital dominoes — once you push the first one (like a user input), the rest of the process flows automatically.
ngrok is a developer tool that lets you expose a local server to the internet, making it possible to test chatbots and AI agents live, even if you’re working on your personal laptop.
Through live demos, real-life examples, and step-by-step guidance, students learned how to use these tools to build:
A chatbot that can interact with customers or users in a helpful, natural way.
A calling AI agent that can simulate real phone calls — such as confirming an appointment or collecting feedback — acting just like a human support representative.
For students, many of whom are exploring AI seriously for the first time, this session was an eye-opener. They realized that you don’t need to be a super coder or have a PhD in AI to start building useful tools — just the right mindset, the right guidance, and the right tools.
Afternoon Session: Time to Build!
After soaking up knowledge in the morning, it was time for hands-on action. Students were divided into small groups and given a challenge: Build a working chatbot or a calling agent for a hypothetical company.
The energy in the room was electric. Laptops were open, ideas were flying, and students quickly moved from planning to building. Some groups focused on creating a chatbot that could handle basic customer queries like “What are your business hours?” or “How can I contact support?” Others took on the ambitious task of building a calling agent that could make outbound calls to users using AI voice and respond to simple questions.
During the process, students:
Designed workflows in n8n to control the logic of their AI agents.
Used ngrok to make their agents accessible online.
Tested and refined their projects, fixing bugs and improving responses.
Collaborated closely with their teammates and received real-time feedback from the trainers.
This wasn’t just about coding — it was about problem-solving, teamwork, and learning how to take an idea from concept to reality.
A Day of Firsts
For many students, this was their first time building a real AI agent — and the sense of achievement was clear on their faces. Seeing their bots respond correctly or hearing their AI agent speak over a simulated phone call was an unforgettable experience.
It wasn’t just about building something cool. It was about understanding how AI is used in the real world — whether it’s helping businesses manage customer interactions, automating routine tasks, or improving efficiency.
As the day came to a close, students shared their experiences, showcased their projects, and discussed what they learned. Trainers offered feedback, highlighted creative solutions, and encouraged everyone to keep building beyond the workshop.
That’s the power of learning by doing. The second day of the Agentic AI workshop didn’t just teach students about AI — it showed them that they can be creators in this AI-driven world, not just consumers.
And with one more day left in the workshop, there’s plenty more to look forward to.
