CIMAGE College Successfully Kicks Off Agentic AI Workshop in Patna

CIMAGE College, a well-regarded name in technology and management education in Bihar, successfully completed the first day of its much-awaited Agentic AI Workshop. The event marked the beginning of a three-day program aimed at introducing students to one of the most exciting areas of artificial intelligence — agentic AI.

The workshop began with a formal inauguration ceremony, led by Dr. Neeraj Agrawal, Director of CIMAGE College. In his welcome address, Dr. Agrawal highlighted the importance of staying ahead in the rapidly evolving world of technology. He spoke about the college’s ongoing efforts to bring relevant and futuristic skills to the classroom, and how the current workshop was part of that larger mission.

Following his speech, Dr. Agrawal warmly welcomed the guest trainers, Mr. Tirth Patel and Mr. Devraj Gohil, who had traveled from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to conduct the sessions. He introduced them to the attendees and shared a brief overview of their experience in artificial intelligence and related domains. Their presence brought a valuable practical dimension to the workshop, offering participants a closer look at real-world applications and development of agentic systems.

Exploring the Basics of Agentic AI

The primary focus of the first day was to lay the groundwork for understanding agentic AI — a term that refers to AI systems capable of operating autonomously and making decisions in dynamic environments. Unlike traditional AI, which typically performs tasks based on direct commands or static programming, agentic AI involves systems that can act independently, respond to changes, and pursue goals using their own decision-making processes.

The sessions on day one introduced participants to key concepts, including how agentic AI differs from other forms of artificial intelligence, and what potential roles it can play across industries. The training was designed to be approachable, even for those new to the field. The content covered foundational topics such as intelligent agents, environments, and the basic architecture that supports agent-like behavior in machines.

The morning session, led by Mr. Devraj Gohil, provided a conceptual overview of how agentic AI has evolved from earlier forms of automation and decision-making systems. He used simplified examples and real-life references to explain how agent-based models are being explored in sectors like logistics, education, customer service, and urban planning.

In the afternoon, Mr. Tirth Patel led a more interactive session, which focused on the structure and working of intelligent agents. He demonstrated how basic agentic behavior can be simulated using existing platforms, offering a step-by-step explanation of tools and frameworks commonly used in the field. This gave attendees an early introduction to the technical side of agentic AI, without requiring deep prior coding experience.

A Structured Start with Clear Goals

The workshop’s opening day was structured to create a smooth entry point for students and faculty alike. The approach combined theoretical insights with simple, hands-on illustrations to help participants gradually build confidence in the subject matter. The sessions avoided technical overload and instead focused on clarity, engagement, and real-world relevance.

The initiative is part of CIMAGE College’s broader effort to integrate cutting-edge technologies into academic learning. As industries continue to evolve with the help of AI-driven automation and decision-making, educational institutions like CIMAGE are working to ensure that students are not just aware of these changes, but also ready to contribute meaningfully to them.

What’s Next

Over the next few days, the workshop will continue with a deeper dive into advanced topics like multi-agent systems, agent communication, goal formulation, and ethical considerations in AI system design. Later sessions will also include project-based activities, where participants will get the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in small, guided group tasks.

The first day concluded on a positive and encouraging note, with organizers reaffirming the workshop’s goals and the importance of staying open to new ideas. The structured learning environment, combined with expert-led sessions, sets a strong foundation for the days ahead.

With thoughtful planning and strong participation, CIMAGE College’s Agentic AI Workshop has taken off with a promising start — not only as a learning platform but as a step toward building future-ready minds in the field of artificial intelligence.
