Some days become part of an institution’s story forever. For the CIMAGE family, the Janmashtami of 2026 was one of those days — the day Bihar’s Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Samrat Choudhary, walked through our campus, floor by floor, lab by lab, and told a hall full of students something we will never forget:
“यह ज्ञान का भंडार है।” “This is a treasure house of knowledge.”
On the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, the Chief Minister formally inaugurated the CIMAGE IT Park in Patna, unveiling the plaque before a gathering of ministers, dignitaries, industry leaders, parents, and hundreds of our students. What followed was not a routine ribbon-cutting, but a heartfelt conversation about Bihar’s future — and CIMAGE’s place in it.
A Campus Tour That Turned Into an Endorsement
Before addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister took time to explore the entire IT Park — from the ground floor to the eighth. He visited the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab, the Wipro Center of Excellence, the IIT Bombay e-Yantra Lab, and the Cisco Cyber Security Lab, stopping to watch live technical project demonstrations by our students.
He didn’t just observe. He asked. He spoke directly with students about their projects, their technical interests, and their plans for the future, encouraging them to keep learning and innovating in new and emerging technologies. It was in the middle of this tour that he made his memorable observation — that only those who live and work with the latest technology can build a true treasure house of knowledge in the world. Coming from the Chief Minister of Bihar, on our own campus, those words felt like a blessing on years of hard work.
“Imagine 100 CIMAGEs Across Bihar”
The most quoted moment of the day came during the Chief Minister’s address at the Janmashtami Mahotsav. Congratulating the Industries Department and BIADA for enabling an institution of this scale, he shared a vision that placed CIMAGE at the very centre of Bihar’s technology ambitions:
“आज एक सिमेज है। ऐसी कल्पना कीजिए कि पूरे बिहार में कम से कम 100 सिमेज के स्वरूप में टेक्नोलॉजी का सेंटर बन सके।” “Today there is one CIMAGE. Imagine at least 100 technology centres in the form of CIMAGE across all of Bihar.”
He went further, telling students and parents plainly that “Bihar today needs more institutions like CIMAGE — institutions that give students quality education along with modern technology, practical knowledge, and employment-oriented skills.” For an institution built on the motto of Knowledge, Skill, Success, there could be no clearer validation of the path we have chosen.
Recognition for Work Beyond Our Own Walls
What moved us most was that the Chief Minister remembered not only what CIMAGE does on campus, but what it does for Bihar. He publicly acknowledged how, at his request, the CIMAGE leadership adopted the government-run Miller School, connecting it with IIT-linked learning programmes and partners like Google — bringing private-institution-quality teaching into government classrooms at no benefit to themselves.
Praising this spirit, he said the CIMAGE family had “drawn a long line” (जितनी बड़ी लकीर आपने सिमेज के माध्यम से खींची है) through its contribution to education, and urged the institution to keep working the same way and keep building Bihar’s future. He extended warm congratulations to CIMAGE Group Director Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Agrawal and Director Megha Agrawal, whose decade-old dream of having the building inaugurated by the Chief Minister himself — with the lamp of Shyam Baba lit on the same day — finally came true on this Janmashtami.
AI, Opportunity, and a Message to Bihar’s Youth
The Chief Minister placed the inauguration in a larger context: Bihar’s new AI Policy, and the government’s decision to grant industry status to technical education centres in every district. Recalling how technology has transformed life since the pager arrived in Patna in 1996–97, he told students that the AI era is Bihar’s chance to leap ahead rather than lag behind:
“एआई के जमाने में हम इतना मेहनत करें कि इस देश के सबसे आगे बिहार खड़ा हो जाए।” “In the age of AI, let us work so hard that Bihar stands at the very front of this nation.”
He also shared how his government is already using technology for citizens — from the Sahyog Portal, where every application must be resolved within 30 days with automatic escalation, to a new initiative to declare engineering and polytechnic exam results within 24 hours. His message to CIMAGE students was direct: the era of technology has arrived, and how far you go now depends on you.
A Promise We Made in Return
Responding to the Chief Minister’s confidence, CIMAGE assured him that this IT Park will serve as a growth engine for IT in Bihar — a place that will not only host technology companies but supply them with the skilled human resources to succeed, so that Bihar’s youth can demonstrate their IT capability to the whole world.
Through the CIMAGE IT Park, students will receive project-based practical training in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and other emerging digital technologies, strengthening the bridge between education, technology, and industry that CIMAGE has been building for years.
The day ended the way it began — with the chants of Janmashtami, the blessings of Shri Krishna, and a campus full of young people who now know that the Chief Minister of Bihar believes in them, and in the institution shaping them.
